Loading and unloading
Rental trucks, PODS, U-Box and shipping containers loaded tight, strapped down and padded so nothing shifts.
You have the truck or container. We supply the people, equipment and know-how to fill it properly. A well-loaded truck holds more, travels safer and unloads faster, which saves you money on both ends.
We load heavy items first against the cab, build tight tiers of boxes floor to ceiling, and pad and strap every section. At the other end, we place every box and piece of furniture in the room you choose.
What is included
- Wrapping furniture in moving blankets and stretch wrap
- Taking apart bed frames, tables and other basic furniture
- Loading in tiers with ratchet straps between sections
- Protecting floors, door frames and banisters
- Unloading into the rooms you choose
- Reassembling the furniture we took apart
A good fit for
- U-Haul, Budget, Penske and other rental trucks
- PODS, U-Box and other moving containers
- Long-distance moves where you drive or ship
- Loading or unloading only, at one end of the move
Tips before we arrive
- Reserve the largest truck you think you need. Running out of space is far more costly than a few extra feet.
- Park as close to the door as you can and save a spot for the truck if you are on a busy street.
- For containers, check that the ground is level and the doors open fully before the crew arrives.
Common questions
Can you load a container that is already partly full?
Yes. We work around what is already loaded and secure the new section with straps or load bars.
Do you unload at the other end if I move out of state?
We load in the South Bay for moves going anywhere. We can only unload if your new home is in our service area.
