Before you book: buildings, parking and access

Most delays on moving day come from access, not from the furniture. Check these with your building or city ahead of time.

  • Elevators

Many South Bay apartment buildings require an elevator reservation for moves. Book it for the whole time the crew is there, plus a buffer.

  • Loading zones and parking

Ask building management where trucks can park. On city streets, check whether your city needs a temporary parking permit.

  • Move hours and insurance

Some HOAs and apartment complexes allow moves only during set hours, or ask movers for paperwork in advance. Tell us early so we can prepare.

  • Hillside homes

Steep driveways in Los Gatos, Saratoga and the foothills may mean parking further away. Let us know so we bring the right equipment.

Booking questions

See all questions

Do you bring a truck?

No. Babiston provides the movers, not the vehicle. You rent the truck, container or PODS, and we pack, load, unload and set up. That keeps your cost down because you are not paying for a moving company's truck.

How many movers do I need?

Most studios and 1-bedrooms need two, 2 to 3 bedroom homes do best with three, and larger homes with four. Send us your details and we will recommend a crew.

How far ahead should I book?

One to two weeks ahead is ideal, especially for weekends and the end of the month. Call us for short-notice moves and we will check the schedule.

Can you help with only part of the move?

Yes. Many customers book us only to load, only to unload at the new place, or only to pack the kitchen. Book the hours you need.

Do you help with long-distance moves?

Yes. We load your truck or container here for a move anywhere. We can unload at the other end only if it is in our service area.

Ready to book your crew?

Tell us your addresses and date. We will reply with a crew size, an hour estimate and an arrival window.
