Flat-pack and complex pieces such as cribs, bunk beds and wall units. Basic bed frames are included in the hourly rate.

Upright pianos, gun safes, treadmills, pool tables and anything over about 300 lb.
What changes the number of hours
The hourly rate stays the same. These are the things that make a job shorter or longer.
-
Stairs and elevators
Every flight of stairs adds time. Elevators help, but only if they are reserved for your move.
-
Distance to the truck
A truck parked at the door is fastest. A long walk across a parking lot or down a driveway adds minutes to every trip.
-
How ready you are
Boxes taped, labeled and stacked near the door can cut an hour or more from a typical job.
-
Furniture that comes apart
Bed frames, sectionals, desks and dining tables often need to be disassembled to fit through doors.
-
Heavy or awkward items
Pianos, safes, gym equipment and oversized sofas need extra people and equipment.
-
Truck size and type
A truck with a ramp loads faster than a container or a truck with only a lift gate.
How billing works
- Minimum booking
- Every booking has a 2-hour minimum. After the minimum you are billed by the half hour.
- When the clock runs
- Time starts when the crew arrives at your first address and stops when the last item is placed.
- Both ends of the move
- If we load and unload, the time spent driving between your two addresses is billed at the same hourly rate.
- Waiting time
- If the crew is on site waiting for a truck, keys or an elevator, that time is billed, so confirm your rental pickup time before you book.
- Payment
- Payment is due when the job is finished. We confirm the accepted payment methods when you book.
Pricing questions
Is there a minimum?
Every booking has a 2-hour minimum. After that you are billed by the half hour.
When does the clock start?
When the crew arrives at your first address. It stops when the last item is in place.
What if you do both ends of the move?
The time the crew spends driving between your two addresses is billed at the same hourly rate.
Are there other fees?
Your quote lists the hourly rate and any add-ons you chose, such as packing, a box kit or a heavy item. Stairs or a long walk to the truck change how many hours the job takes, not the rate.
Should I tip the crew?
Tips are never expected. If you are happy with the work, the crew appreciates it.
